Founder and self-taught baker Gina Maunu has been baking since she was a young child. After graduating college from UMD in 2008 she spent nearly fifteen years in the corporate utility industry until resigning from her leadership career in 2023. Founded May 2023, Nordic Bakester LLC. became a creative outlet and means to explore her passion for baking while being more present at home for her family.
Supporting local small businesses and small family-owned farms has always been of the utmost priority. Whether it be local hand-picked produce, locally milled flour or locally sourced honey.
